SUMMARY:2026 Grand Illumination Night
DESCRIPTION:The crown jewel of the Campground season is Grand Illumination Night! Thousands of Island residents and visitors enjoy Grand Illumination each summer.The evening starts at 7pm in the Tabernacle\, and seats fill well in advance. The program also includes a prayer\, along with Community Sing and music by the Vineyard Haven Band\, as well as the ceremonial lighting of the first lantern.The event is supported with a free will offering. We are grateful for the generosity of everyone who visits\, participates\, and donates what they can to make this magical evening possible.

DESCRIPTION:What: Annual Oak Bluffs Fireworks \nWho: Sponsored by the Town of Oak Bluffs with help from many generous donations. \nWhen: Friday\, August 21st (rain date\, August 22nd) \nThe show will begin after 9pm\, when it gets dark. \nWhere: Ocean Park\, Oak Bluffs \nNo blankets are allowed to be set up\, unattended\, before 4pm. Tarps are prohibited. \nPlease carry-out all personal items and trash at the end of the evening so we may continue to use the parks for such events. \nParking will be available in Waban Alley Park and Washington Park. Parks will open at 3:30pm \n$20 per car will be collected by the Town of Oak Bluffs to help fund the fireworks and parks department. \nHandicap spaces (placard required) will be available at the Steamship Authority \n*** There will be NO PARKING in Sunset Park *** \nCars may NOT stay in parks overnight\, and will be towed by 8am the following day \nNo parking: \nSeaview Ave starting at 6am and Ocean Ave starting at 12 noon. Cars will be towed at the owner’s expense. \nResidential streets from Dukes County Ave to Seaview Ave or Greenleaf Ave\, 3-11pm. \nOther notes: \nThe Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) will follow modified routes \nAll Town bathhouses will be open \nTo ensure future Oak Bluffs Fireworks events\, donations are being at Town of Oak Bluffs ~ P.O. It was co-founded by Rose Guerin and Kelly Feirtag in 2017\, with special assistance by The Ritz Cafe owner\, Larkin Stallings. \nLADYFEST raises awareness and funds for CONNECT TO END VIOLENCE\, a dual domestic violence program and rape crisis center on Martha’s Vineyard. \nThe event features artists from many genres including rock\, soul\, electronic\, and pop.  Artisans and food vendors line the venue selling food\, jewelry\, clothing\, artwork\, and more.
