CONNECT: Sweet and Savory Retreat

CONNECT is hosting a retreat called Sweet and Savory on Monday, November 24^th 11:15am-4:30pm at the IWYC kitchen. This is an event for teens who have been impacted by teen dating violence, family violence, or domestic and/or sexual violence, whether directly or indirectly. During the event, participants will be cooking and doing some fun activities with the help of Island Grown Initiative. It’s an opportunity to practice self-care and connect with other peers with similar experiences.

All supplies will be provided, and no experience is necessary to participate in the group. The session will be facilitated by Pricila Vilaça and Chesca Quinlan-Potter, trained Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Counselors at CONNECT to End Violence/MVCS. Participants and facilitators are expected to sign a statement in order to preserve the confidentiality of the group.
